MAJES VALLEY

Our adventure begins at 5:00 am, the meeting point will be in the center by the plaza de armas. We will travel around 3 hours with a small stop for breakfast.

06:00 am We will have our first stop in a traditional oven where breakfast. We will continue our trip entering the Majes Valley enjoying the landscape and nature.

8:00am First we will visit the Dead Bull Petroglyphs, the largest petroglyphs reserve in the world with huge stones carved by ancient settlers in the middle of the desert. We will soon visit the traditional village of Corire.

Afterwards we will visit the Dinosaur Footprints of Querulpa, where we will be able to appreciate some replicas. We can also appreciate a small museum with fossilized dinosaur bones. When we reach the top, we will finally see dinosaur tracks,

Then we will taste a delicious lunch in a restaurant in Aplao, we will have options, but it is essential to try dishes made from Shrimp, since it is fresh and fished in the Majes River that is next to the restaurant (if you want you can bring your lunch)

After lunch, on the way to the suspension bridge of Quiskay we will go down to the Majes River where we will fish shrimp and take a dip. We will go a little further to see a geological formation of Christ’s profile.

The last stop will be in one of the wineries of the Majes Valley where the winemaker will be waiting for us and will tell us about the secrets of the production of Pisco, while we taste pisco and wine

5:00pm We will leave for the city of Arequipa.
